The early days of life with a newborn baby can be crazy. It’s one of the most exciting, emotional, joyous, intense, exhausting and exhilarating times in family life.  Time goes by super fast.  One minute you’re stroking their downey shoulder hair and the next they’re learning to walk.  You stare at your baby for hours thinking you’ll never forget what their weeny fingernails looked like, their loose skin and squished faces.  But sleep deprivation and brain fog do a great job of this time being remembered as a blur.

Treat yourself to a natural newborn photo session at home to make sure you never forget the details of the time this little human comes into your life.

My natural newborn sessions are laid-back, fuss-free and stress-free.  Exactly what you’ll need after giving birth and getting settled at home.

I don’t use props and won’t do any curly poses with your baby.  Nor put you in any awkward positions.  Instead we’ll just go with the flow.  All you’ll need to do is relax and snuggle up with your baby.  If they need settling, feeding or changing (they will), it will all be captured.  I’ll also give you a little direction to help you get the most out of your session.

Your photos will look honest and real, beautiful, artistic and distinctive.  And because your home is your backdrop, totally unique to you.

As well as having some beautiful memories to forever treasure, you will also have a lovely eclectic mix of photos to do so much with.   You can make one or two into thank you cards for all the lovely newborn cards and gifts you’ll receive.   Hang one on the wall as a piece of art or a few altogether as a gallery.  Or have a beautiful coffee table book (which can double up as a stress reliever by locking yourself in a cupboard with it when you have a screaming toddler, to remember when they were cute and angelic).

A newborn photoshoot is a great way to capture memories. For this mum, feeling less than her best, the prospect of having those early days of tired eyes and baby weight documented forever was much more daunting! However I was put totally at ease by Angela, she was so down to earth, it was like having a friend come to visit. We chatted about everything and anything as she took photos of a typical morning at home with a newborn. Lots of feeding, sleeping and nappy changes! Even the dogs got involved! And the results were perfect. More than a year on (and a wonderful Baptism photoshoot to add to the album) looking at those newborn photos transports me back to those early days and I am forever grateful that we chose Angela as our photographer, because I dont see tired eyes, or babyweight. I see a new family, a tiny baby, real life and love. Thankyou so much Angela!
