A Day in the Life photography sessions are up there with my favourite kind of shoot. They always have such a relaxing feel to them – unlike studio photography sessions I used to do which at times could be very challenging if the little ones didn’t feel like co-operating. In a Day in the Life photography sessions little ones don’t have to co-operate they just have to get on with being themselves! Whatever mood they’re in that day is cool. They sometimes have a little bit of a show-off (don’t we all) then they pretty much forget I’m there and get on with their playing.
This A Day in the Life photography session is the Batey Family. They are mum Claire, a fellow photographer, and a great one at that so no pressure at all there then :), dad Andy and cool kid Harry. This shoot was on Halloween so pumpkin carving was the order of the day. We also took a walk, fed a horse, picked pears from the tree, made pancakes, played football, made soup, chilled, mowed a (pretend) lawn, read, and everything else you do to keep a three year old entertained. It was a particularly great morning for me as I also got fed scrumptious food 🙂 AND got to talk to my hearts content about family photography. Perfect.
